Black Ram 1500 Sport, crew cab, four-wheel drive. Sport is the monochrome one, so the bumpers and grille are body colour instead of chrome and it looks a good deal meaner for it. Kilometres are low for a 2019 and it is certified and safety inspected. The 5.7L HEMI V8 makes 395 horsepower and runs through an eight-speed automatic to four-wheel drive. The HEMI is the reason people buy these and then keep buying them. It sounds right, it pulls properly, and the eight-speed does a good job of keeping it civil when you are just commuting.

This generation of Ram is the one that made everybody else raise their game on ride quality. The coil-sprung rear end means it does not skip across frost heaves the way a leaf-sprung truck does, which you notice about two minutes into a drive around Kanata or out past Stittsville. Crew cab means a proper back seat, not a jump seat.

This one is well optioned.
